HDRI is short for High Dynamic Range Image. HDR images contain much more lighting information than standard low dynamic range images, and can only be captured with special equipment, or by following a complicated assembly procedure. The additional lighting information contained in an HDRI makes it suitable for use in 3D programs to create highly realistic lighting and reflections. |
